Subject: CADC/CANFAR authentication downtime — Saturday, Sept 13 (12:00–8:00 pm PT)

Essential network maintenance in Victoria will take place on Saturday, Sept 13, from 12:00–8:00 pm Pacific Time. During this window, any CADC/CANFAR service that requires authentication will be unavailable (e.g., logins to portals, token issuance, authenticated APIs/Python Client/CLI jobs). Please plan accordingly and avoid starting jobs that need credentials during the outage. Other service access may also be affected. Thank you for your patience.

Canada France Hawai'i Telescope

The CFHT Science Archive provides access to observations obtained with the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) on Maunakea, Hawaii.

Observations can be queried by various criteria such as object name, position and RunID and retrieved.

Proprietary Data Access: Proprietary data can be retrieved only by the Principal Investigator (PI) of the observing run or by CADC account holders that the PI has granted access to. To access proprietary data, a user must login. To associate a proprietary dataset to a PI or grant access to another CADC user, consult the Access Management page. The proprietary period for CFHT data is typically 13 months after the end of the semester of the observation.

Search for Data: Raw and calibrated science observations and calibrations for CFHT observations as well as access to stacked data products can be found by searching the following data collections:

  • CFHT : Raw data and data processed at CFHT
  • CFHTMEGAPIPE : MegaPrime data stacked at CADC
  • CFHTWIRWOLF : WIRCAM data stacked at CADC
  • CFHTTERAPIX : MegaPrime and WIRCAM data stacked at Terapix
