ACQ

Investigators using data from this site are requested to include these acknowledgments in any publications as appropriate.

The Digitized Sky Survey was produced at the Space Telescope Science Institute under U.S. Government grant NAG W-2166. The images of these surveys are based on photographic data obtained using the Oschin Schmidt Telescope on Palomar Mountain and the UK Schmidt Telescope. The plates were processed into the present compressed digital form with the permission of these institutions.

If you have used CADC facilities for your research, please include the following acknowledgment:

This research used the facilities of the Canadian Astronomy Data Centre operated by the National Research Council of Canada with the support of the Canadian Space Agency.

List of surveys used

Notes

  1. POSS2/UKSTU Red = POSS-II F (North), AAO-SES/SERC-ER (South), AAO-SR (Selected crowded southern galactic plane)
  2. POSS2/UKSTU Blue = POSS-II J (North), SERC-J/SERC-EJ (South)
  3. POSS2/UKSTU IR = POSS-II N (North), SERC-I (South)
  4. POSS1 Red = POSS-I E
  5. POSS1 Blue = POSS-I O
  6. Quick-V = Pal-QV
  7. HST Phase2(GSC2) = POSS2/UKSTU Red described above
  8. HST Phase2(GSC1) = Pal-QV (North), SERC-J (South), SERC-QV (Selected crowded southern galactic plane), various SERC-V/PAL-V supplemental plates
  9. DSS1 = Pal-QV (North), SERC-J/SERC-EJ (South) DEPRECATED and No Longer Supported
  10. Note that crowded SERC-J survey plates in the southern galactic plane were replaced with the short exposure SERC-QV to support HST requirements and so may not be available for download.
  11. More information about the individual plates may be found in this file compiled from the observatory plate logs.
